Editor's Note: The following write up has been posted in it's original form. We here at the Old Bucks hockey message board believe everyone is entitled to an opinion even if said opinion diverges significantly from reality. As you read the below and marvel at the blatant disregard for grammar, please keep in mind that the man who wrote this is actually a doctor. Jim, we miss you.
Well week 13 started with a definite advantage to blue. There were three father son combinations present Dougherty,Urban and Cerbone with all the 20 year olds on blue. Despite this red jumped out to a quick and commanding lead. Gregg Wright scored early and often including a blistering slap shot that knocked Marty's water bottle off the goal. A friend of Gregg's named Eddie filled in at goal ( for red as Marty refuses to play for red ) and played and inspired game despite having not played hockey for a while prior to his old bucks debut. There were even chants of Eddie, Eddie coming from the red bench. As a long time Rangers fan in almost brought tears to my eyes thinking of Ed Giocomans return to the garden after the rangers traded him. Unfortunately as always seems to be the case the team that scores first rarely continues to dominate and blue mounted a strong come back behind Cerbone the younger and quickly closed the goal gap. At this point Eddie O and I were keeping score on the bench because of the rumor Marty has trouble transposing numbers ( which explains why some letters end up on the wrong side of the country ). Toward the end of the game we had the score at a tie until red scored what we thought was the winner and the Zamboni door opened. Imagine our surprise when blue gloated that they had won. It looks like the Old Bucks are going to have to break down and hire a score keeper ( not named Angie )
