Despite the abuse I received when I last attempted the summary I will give it another try. As the game turned out to be a blow out by red I do not remember the actual score or details of the game. Despite these shortcomings I think one can summarize the events of the evening by stating that blue demonstrated the ennui one would expect from a team that knows the season is lost or from the french army. Red on the other hand came out with it's usual élan which is what has propelled it to this seasons winning record. This was all despite the fact that a major trade was made at the start of the game. Kip as the unofficial GM of blue demanded a shake up of his team. I would have offered to play for blue, but I knew no one brought any mustard so I did not have any trade value. Instead a lifetime "redder" Eddie O was dealt for Mike Dougherty. All this seemed to do for blue was disrupt their fragile team chemistry. Even Sirboney the younger did not wake up and demonstrate his usual drive to the net until more than two thirds of the game was over. At least Sirboney the elder's anger management classes have been paying off and he did not break any sticks. Unfortunately he forget that he was not wearing goalie equipment and by the end of the game had a large welt on his forearm from an attempted glove save. When all was said and done and the wining from the blue side died down we all agreed to remain friends and the discussion shifted to next weeks party. Rich Devlin assigned tasks for the party and I snuck out knowing that my lead leading plus minus was slightly better. I did hear Angie discussing with anyone who would listen that the Old Bucks like the NHL is fixed. At least he is half right.
